Capturing the stories nature leaves behind.

A field of view

A photograph is the story a wild thing leaves behind.

Every frame here is a moment the coast almost kept to itself: a spoonbill at rest, a cardinal mid-song, a dove folding into the grass, watched patiently until it holds still long enough to keep. Nothing staged, nothing baited, only the quiet stories nature leaves behind, gathered one morning at a time.

Piece it together

She loves a good puzzle, so here's a small one on the house. Drag a tile onto another to swap them, and rebuild the picture. Every puzzle in the shop works exactly like this, only bigger, and on your table.

Nicely done, that's “Evening on the marsh.”

About

A patient eye on the coast

These photographs are the work of Gertrude Stewart, one photographer with a long lens and longer patience, drawn again and again to the same wetlands. No hides, no baiting, just early mornings, still water, and the willingness to wait for a bird to forget you're there.

Every print and puzzle is made to order. Commissions and prints of your own local patch are welcome.
